Entry Level Programmer

Summary: 
Learn basic programming skills specific to Maples, as well as support and maintain barcoded labeling.
Essential Functions: 
  • Needs to be efficient in the use of PC's or workstations.
  • Working knowledge of the steps for creating and implementing a functioning program.
  • Working knowledge of a structured programming language... PC or Mainframe based.
  • Must have successfully completed a programming curriculum or have a minimum of 3 years programming experience.
  • Requires an understanding of Relational Data Base files.
  • Willingness to work with a seasoned professional I/T staff to learn Maples programming structure.  Program and maintain systems in aggressive manufacturing environment under Maples direction and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience: 
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science is preferred.
  • Must have successfully completed a programming curriculum or have a minimum of 3 years of programming experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.  
Physical Demands: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb stairs.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
