Information Technology Hardware Support Technician

Summary: 
Maintains all computers, software, terminals, printers, scanners, and phones in our four Scottsboro facilities.
Essential Functions: 
  • Networking knowledge a plus.
  • Knowledge of PCs to troubleshoot potential hardware problems and replace boards, drives, or other minor components when needed.
  • Ability to install computer cable anywhere within all four facilities to connect printers and terminals.
  • Ability to maintain all printers, terminals, and scanners in the company.
  • Ability to attach all computer peripherals needed by the company.
  • Willingness to work after hours and weekends.  On call required.
  • Ability to travel daily between plants.
  • Able to operate Aerial Lift.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience: 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with some college a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows required with knowledge of Microsoft Office products a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Physical Demands: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-70 pounds.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
