Slip Sheet Assembler (Plant 3)

Summary: 
  • Electronically scan UPC codes of cases, label cases, stack cases, and prepare slip sheets for proper loading according to shipping instructions.
Essential Functions: 
  • Affix shipping label to prepacked cases.
  • Identify and label appropriate cases and stack onto conveyor belt.
  • Set up scanner.
  • Build slip sheets for shipping by scanning I.D. sticker on box to shipping case label.
  • Build slip sheet to appropriate specifications for loading onto truck.
  • Affix pallet ticket to appropriate slip sheet.
  • Label and pull carpet from bins, placing carpet into storage rack.
  • Scan slip sheets to truck as needed.
  • Reports any shortages to Lead or Supervisor.
  • Ability to move inventory into staging area with pallet jack.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience: 
  • No prior experience or training.
  • Ability to identify labels, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Physical Demands: 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional bending is required.
  • The employee frequently climbs stairs to different floor levels.
  • Ability to maneuver pallet jack loaded with up to 75 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee environment is heated, but is exposed to heat and cold as influenced by seasonal temperature extremes.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
